Painting was done and they've started wet areas.
No photos though as no one was working when I went over on Saturday and the doors were all locked so couldn't sneak in either.

Almost there ...
Got a call from tiling company asking me to make a payment today as they are about to start tiling T - H - I - S week! Remember it was only last week they rang me and told me I should have done the tile selection some 3 months ago but somehow the builder forgot to tell me to do that! So in terms of progress it turns out still okay.
The downside is that I was left without too much time to shop around for the tile installation and it looks like the quickest way is to go with the tile company the builder is using - but deal with them directly rather than going through builder.
Being builder's preferred tiler, they can install living area tiles (which are not part of the contract with builder) at the same time as they do the wet area (which is part of the contract.) That's the advantage going with them but I may (will, I think) end up paying a bit more. Oh well it's so close to the end so maybe it's not worth it dragging longer for not too much money!
If other people's experience is anything to go by, after tiling is done, it's probably another 3 - 4 weeks before you will have the PCI and hopefully the keys soon after! So the end is really in sight now!

Tile selection done, which timber next?
Went to do tile selection this morning. Didn't expect it would take 3 hours - a lot of details to be decided but all in all it went all right.
Then went to see a few timber suppliers. A lot of choices again and will need to decide which one to go!

Week 52 - Doors fitted and Locked up
Went to meet with a landscape construction company on site to get a quote for my landscape works and found out they have fitted all the doors and have locked up the doors. So I can not sneak in any more.
But, look at the bright side, I hope that means there isn't too much left for them to do. Some builders need another 5 - 6 weeks after lock up to hand over the house. Fingers crossed!

The Street is almost full!
Only three blocks still haven't seen much action. Others are all at various construction stages. The landscape is changing fast!
Forgot tile selection?
Got a ring from tile supply company this morning asking me if I've done the tile selection, because they are about to deliver and the tiling should start soon!
Well good news is to know tiling is going to start soon! But bad news is I've never been told to do the tile selection!
So I rang around and spoke to my customer service reps and my site supervisor. It turned out when colour selection was done (which was March 2010) the details of tile supply company should be given to me and the selection should be done around slab/frame stage (October 2010).
So somehow someone 'forgot' to tell me all those details!
Spoke to the lady from the tile company and she reckons as long as I don't choose something very 'rare' they should have most of the popular tiles in stock so delivery can still happen straightaway after I've done the selection.
Booked in for Friday to go to showroom! Let's see what happens! (I wonder what else they will have forgotten? My last invoice maybe?)

More progress - but on computer rather than on site
Nothing is going on on site so try to find something else to flock the blog.
There are a lot of 3D module on the net that can be used in Google's Sketch Up. It's pretty easy like plug-and-play.
However I can't find any built-in-wardrobe so I just downloaded some normal wardrobe to occupy the space.
This is how you can search and download the furniture from website once you have installed the SketchUp program.

Study Room ...
Well nothing is really happening on site so I wonder around on the Internet and download Google Sketch Up and then did a quick sketch of the study room ...
Was only a 10 minutes job just to find out if the furniture can fit in. The dimensions are 1:1 and it looks like they will fit in okay! Sounds interesting!
